The length of a soccer field and back should be a good enough ride for most children.
An adult, older child may want a slightly longer ride
(but they will get tired quickly so the time will be about the same).
It could be up and down a field or beach or in a circle/circuit/around a course.
It is advisable to limit rides to children/lighter people.
A suggested maximum weight limit is 14 stone, 200lbs or 90 Kilograms.
The best way to run a Moonwalkerz activity is to have an operator walk alongside the ball at all times.
This will mean that you are always in control of the ball
(It won’t go further than you want and it won’t go off course/anywhere you don’t want it to go).
If the rider falls, the operator can stop the ball to prevent any injury.
The operator can encourage riders.
The operator can keep the holes of the ball on the sides (so there is no way the rider can fall out of the
holes).
You can sometimes let children hold the handles by stopping
the ball, let them get into position and then walk them along
The ball should take about 10-15 minutes to inflate.
This sucks as well as blows. The picture shows the blowing position, move the
nozzle to the side hole for the sucking position.
You should be careful to avoid punctures:
Make sure people don’t have anything sharp on them (Jewelry, keys, pens, piercings etc).
Make sure that the surface is clear of anything that may potentially puncture the ball (sharp stones etc).
Grass playing fields are usually the best option.
If you get a puncture you should locate it by inflating and listening for the escaping air.
Then deflate completely and glue a patch on the hole.
You can buy glue from http://www.waterwalkerz.com/repairs.html or you can try ‘aquasure’ glue from
www.beaversports.co.uk or any other glue from a DIY shop. Clean the material, apply glue to both
surfaces, wait a minute or two until tacky, put together, put a weight on it and leave for 24 hours before use.
How much to charge?
This will depend on your location but you could charge £3-£5 per go (once up and down a soccer field).
